  Hey Met,
  You are only seeing one side of the issue. Organized crime is deeply involved in the non-stock companies. There is also a huge privately run cornucopia of tapes and photos, cds and floppies that are often availale over the internet. X-rated bookstores, theaters and strip clubs are the most usual gangland methods of porn income.
  There is also the so-called white slavery operating out of eastern europe that SELL women and girls to interests in the 'wonderful' and 'free' cities like Amsterdam. Those same interests sponser the vilest of child pornography.
  People need to wake up and see that all of this legitimatization of porn has it's price......a very step price.

  No, It's not 'convenient'. It's a simple FACT that can be looked up easily. Read John 15 (the whole chapter); 8.31-32; 13.34,35. Then check out the Koran or maybe just look it up under the topic of Islam.

  Islam has it's 'Jihad' teaching.

  Christianity is all about becoming more Christ-like. Those who claim to be Christian yet do not behave as a Christian are.....NOT. Islamic fundamentalists are actually the only ones who are loyal to their faith. The moderates are 'weak muslims'!
  Mohammed raided caravans and his movement conquered much of the known world. The crusades were a reaction from apostate Rome to the muslim land grab. None of this has anything remotely to do with real Christianity.
  BTW, I've yet to see anyone threaten apostates like Bishop Spong with death. Can you say the same thing for Salmon Rushdie?

  Letting go of JW relatives (Long)

  i've been out of the jws for some time now, seven years.

  like many of you, i left a lot of acquaintances, friends, and family behind.. the acquaintances were fairly easy to let go, the friends very hard, and the family, well, near impossible, at least up until now.

  that she should listen to both sides of the story without fear and make her own decision.

  Hi Andy,
  I am almost in tears here as I am going through the same thing. My family are such knuckleheads.
  I too am frustrated over my family's denial and cult-like behavior. Until they finally open their eyes we can do very little. I applaud you for pointing out your mom's unreal behavior and reaction to this abuse. They have even over-ruled the maternal instinct in many cases!
  I love you, I don't know you at all but I can say that in heartfelt truthfulness. Are you anywhere near Pittsburgh or east Ohio?

  Hang in there and keep your chin up. Pray for God to grant you wisdom and peace. James 1.2-5 tells us that He will give us 'wisdom' when asked in faith, it's a promise.

  i've seen loads of live acts, back when i was a "young person asking" i watched the crystals, heinz, johnny kid and the pirates, brenda lee, joe brown and others all on one show.

  so very innocent!.

  come my eventual departure from dubdom, i resolved to see all these bad people playing their music live.

  Bands still alive: Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

  Jim Morrison and the Doors, I have a copy of the first digital recorded concert from the Hollywood Bowl in 1968, when they were at their peek. Bands refused to sign up with them in the early days because the Doors blew everyone away.

  What is more generic than 'God bless America'? It suited Tom Jefferson and a few others just fine.

  Oh come on, Norm. We in America (most of us) know that we have no corner on 'God', that we have a free country and not a theonomy or theocracy, only the rabid few contend that we are the 'New Israel'.
  Even us S.B.C. fundies are strong supporters of 'freedom OF religion'. The phrase came about as a song title and is nothing about demanding anything.
  BTW, I see that most of the Norwegians heartily support our efforts to crush the terrorists. I guess it will not hit home to you until your local pub gets bombed or some anthrax arrives by courier.
